Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (hereinafter referred to as "BOCOG") hereby publicly solicit for proposals (abbr. hereafter as to this solicitation) for the torch design for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the "Olympic Torch").

   The Olympic Torch is one of the important elements of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, an important medium to convey the concept of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Chinese culture. BOCOG sincerely welcomes and invites the individuals, legal entities and other organizations who are interested in participating Olympic Torch design to response to this solicitation. Those who determine to accept BOCOG's entrustment as a candidate and response to this solicitation may download this invitation letter and the appendices (hereinafter referred to as the "Solicitation Documents") from the official website of BOCOG at www.beijing2008.cn.

   The candidate shall carefully read the Solicitation Documents, prepare the proposal in accordance with its requirements, execute appropriate legal documents, and make the submission personally or by courtier to the address specified below. The time for service shall be the time when BOCOG acknowledges the receipt of such documents.
