(BEIJING, June 23) -- The southwestern part of Beijing's south moat dried up half a year ago retrieved its original waterscape Wednesday, as some 500,000 cubic meters of water had been channeled from Jing-Mi Aqueduct, the China Youth Daily reported.

At the beginning of this year, the river way was found dried up by local residents, thus a scheme of recycling water construction commenced. According to the source from Beijing Bureau of River Supervision, workers paved pipes and recycling water would replace the water from Guanting Reservoir.

It's reported that a large volume of recycling water will be used following the inflow of 500,000 cubic meters of water from Jing-Mi Aqueduct.

Benefited from the growth of recycling water resource and the laying of recycling water pipes as well as the integration of water resources, more river ways and parks within the city will be filled with recycling water.
