Broadcasting Coordination

Broadcasting Coordination serves as the contact point among BOCOG, Chinese governmental departments, Beijing Olympic Broadcasting Co., Ltd (BOB), Rights-Holding Broadcasters and other relevant parties. The aim of Broadcasting Coordination is to coordinate with parties concerned to provide the Olympic-level standard facilities and services to BOB and Rights-Holding Broadcasters to guarantee a successful broadcasting of the Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

As a coordination institution for broadcasting the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Olympic Broadcasting Committee (OBC) has been established and it convened the first meeting on May 18th, 2005. The primary purpose of the OBC is to provide liaison between BOB and various Chinese governmental authorities and local television stations in order to support BOB's operational needs and satisfy various regulatory requirements. The executives and staff of OBC are from China's nine local governmental entities and TV stations.
