| Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad ("BOCOG"), through the Office for the Campaign to Solicit Songs for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (the "Olympic Songs Solicitation Office"), hereby launches the Third Campaign to Solicit Songs for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (the "Campaign") to solicit songs propagandizing the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (the "Beijing 2008 Olympic Games") world widely.
Since 2003, the Campaign to Solicit Songs for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games has received extensive support from the public. The Campaign is to spread the Olympic spirit and promote the theme of "Green Olympics, Hi-Tech Olympics and People's Olympics". The Campaign also aims at illuminating the connotation of "One World One Dream", as well as carrying forward the humanism and the passion of Chinese people for the Games by songs.
The Third Campaign to Solicit Songs for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will commence on January 1, 2006 and end on June 1, 2006. The Campaign will solicit and select the "Song for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games" and the "Song for Volunteers of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games" and, also, will determine the "Theme Song for Volunteers of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games" from the selected songs. Participants may participate in the Campaign with their work, in the form of either song work or internet song work or lyric work.
The Olympic Songs Solicitation Office is responsible for the relevant organization work of the Campaign.
